“I Never Thought Sharing the Gospel Could Be So Easy (Until You Work Very Hard in Your Free Time)”

Jemimah Rodrigues has inspired millions—not just through her incredible cricketing talent, but through the way she boldly shares her faith in Jesus. Watching her speak about Christ so naturally reminds me that when we give our best to the work God has placed before us, He creates platforms we could never have built on our own.
Wherever you are—whether it’s in sports, medicine, teaching, or any profession—God can use your work as a stage to make His name known. You don’t have to be in full-time ministry to share the Gospel. When you work hard, with integrity and humility, your life itself becomes a testimony.
My Personal Reflection
For a long time, I used to think that because I wasn’t a topper in my academics, I wasn’t serving God with my full effort. I worked hard, tried my best, but always felt “average.”
One day, God reminded me that He doesn’t measure us by comparison; He values our availability, not our comparability.
“The very fact that you desire to give your best shows integrity. I see your heart, not your rank.”
That changed my perspective completely. God doesn’t need everyone to be the best; He simply asks us to be faithful with what we have.
When we do our part diligently, He opens doors that no one can close.
Out-of-the-Box Faith
Especially today, in a nation where sharing the Gospel can be challenging and even opposed, God is calling us to think differently—to find creative, Spirit-led ways to share His love.
Jemimah Rodrigues is a perfect example of this. Through just one cricket match, she may have preached the Gospel to millions—without a pulpit, but with purpose.
Let’s pray that God gives us fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to reach people with His message. Whether it’s through our career, our art, our service, or even a simple act of kindness—there are endless ways to let Jesus shine through us.
Bible Verses That Inspire Creative Faith
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” —
Colossians 3:23
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
“To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” — 1 Corinthians 9:22
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10
Reflection for us
Start right where you are, with whatever God has given you.
It doesn’t matter how big or small your role seems—whether you have no degree or multiple degrees, whether you’re single or married—God has a plan tailor-made for you.
When you give your time, effort, and creativity to Him, He will use you to shine His light in places you never imagined.
Pray boldly, think differently, and serve faithfully.
Because when you work hard and walk with integrity, God turns your ordinary moments into extraordinary testimonies.
